Why my car steering is hard?

Asked by pro_octopus05 Jan 13, 2017 at 07:51 AM about the 2005 Nissan X-Trail

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a Nissan X-Trail of 2005 model. My car is in very good condition but
the steering is hard. While my car's speed lower than 20 km/h in turning the
steering gets too hard. With more than 20 km/h speed the steering is easy
enough. Can you help me about it.

Either the serpentine belt is slipping, but if it was your battery would be running down, or the power steering pump needs fluid, or something is wrong with the power steering pump, or something with the steering linkage itself. Should go to a trusted garage to have it checked.
