Got one for you guys. I have a Chevy 94 5.7 ltr TBI motor that has a bent rod in it... I also have been given a Chevy 96 5.7 ltr CSFI engine out of a suburban... My question is on the basic level...could I possibly take the two engines down to block level and make one good engine using the Burban block? I guess I mean to say is the pistons, rods ect ... interchangeable since they are the basically the same engine? Meaning same size... I "feel" like we could but need input. Thanks...

I have a 1996 suburban with an issue that need help with. My truck idle find revs up find only when you put it in gear and want to go it wants to die you let off the paddle and it fin you step on the gas want to chock it has no power. I have cleaned out throttle, change throttle position sensor, Map sensor and it runs the same. The garage told me that my water pumb needs to be replaced, on my surbarban 2003. They said it is not like a other water pumbs, they said on a surbarban the antifreeze is beening thrown against the moter or a shaft??? What are they talking about? And could it be something else causing it to leak out once in a while. Not very often to I have to put antifreeze in the surburban when it gets low, however it appears to be getting worse. Help!
