Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 chevy lumina that has not been driven for about 1&1/2 yrs.  It ran well before I stopped driving it.  I put sea foam in gas tank after first three months.  What should I do to vehicle before starting it?  It needs a new battery but what else should I do before attempting to start?  My son just started driving and want to get car ready for him.

first drain the gas tank, you will have to drop it,sea fome is a fuel injector cleaner, you should have put a can of fuel perservativ in it.it is most likely dead gas and a varnish in it,it may be beytter to replace the tank ,new fuel pump, change trans filter and fluid, check break lines ,stuck break calapers, the list is long, just check check most everything, change oil and filter, fuel filter.
