describe more, do you have the shift lever or is it push button? That link is useless because you dont have an s10 blazer

Leslie....I agree, cannot find this "mechanism" which supposedly engages with a lever....do you have a picture of this interface...4x4...lever into the floorboard?
Heres a picture of my 1994 full size blazers 4 wheel drive shifter
the actuator is on the front axle, it will have a plug going to it
Thanks i will look. I love working on cars & learning where & what parts go to!

three years of this type of work...and if you still have your fingers and acid or grinder hasn't gotten the eyes, you may have a slightly different impression of this type of work....Greenworld would service All makes and Models...all years. foreign and domestic....commercial buses and trucks too...LP gas vehicles too~...can a person stop loving?~
I dont work on cars as a profession I do it cuz i enjoy it and dont likre to pay someone if i can do it myself
Can you send me a picture of aculator please
its right next to the differential on the front axle. The part stucking out with wires going to it
Ok I forgot why I needed to know where the aculator was but I found it and remembered. I need to know how to test it and see if that's why blazers not going in 4 wheel drive. It's not the same as other aculaters I viewed
ya, it's not a vacuum actuator on the full size. Its electric. Go find a dirt road, put it if 4 low and try to power brake it to spin the back wheels. It should just pull you along if it engages the front wheels. To test the trasfer case the front shaft should free wheel in 2wd and shouldn't in 4x4

what would be wrong with it if in 4 high it is not free spinning but in 4 low that it is?
