Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2012 Enclave CD player will not stop the ejecting function, even when radio
and car are turned off. I have turn holding down the eject button down for 10
seconds and still nothing. I can hear the ejection motor running continues.

OK I'm assuming no CD in unit. That means its an internal switch or sensor issue. Without knowing the exact player or having a schematic in front of me than all I can tell you to do is this. If your radio is still working than doing this might cause you to loose your ability to even listen to your radio. If you can still hear your music above the rattling noise than your still OK. You can try loading and immediately unloading a disk a few times and then Stop. If you don't think you will get it back the first time than don't do it. This might clean or reset things enough to stop it. Either way your still looking at a new unit sorry. If it does stop it won't be long before you hit a bump or it starts all by itself again. I could tell you how to go in and fix it but there just so cheep now why bother. 30 years in electronic repair CD players were my thing for a while then Sony and most just went to exchange only program

Oo side note you can also get a can of air and spray around in there. I would never recommend unplugging the unit until you know if your air bag is routed through it. Some models are that way crazy.

Here’s what worked for me. Find a an audio cd (cannot be a dvd) and forcibly insert it as many times as it takes (it took me around 50 attempts). You may see an error like no cd or can’t read cd. If the continuous ejection doesn’t end, repeat. This may take 20 minutes don’t give up. I got it to stop the continuous ejecting. My console was hot for it doing this for days. Time will tell if this is a permanent fix.
