why not the SSC Ultimate Aero, which is a little faster, and WAY cheaper then either the veyron or the ccx...

well the ssc ultimate is a nice car with lots of power, but I love the phenominum of buggatti veyron.. buggatti weighs about 3tons yet it has lots of power and handling, its like a sporty luxury, its simply amazing... yeah ssc ultimate is pretty light thats one of the reasons why it has higher top speed and handling....

it actually has almost 100 more hp then the veyron, its more of a race car then a street car then the veyron, which really is what i would want. i would take a caddilac for the comfort, and a ssc for when i want to go fast and have the best of both worlds, not a mixture of some luxury and 90% of the performance. the veyron seems to accelerate as fast, but thats just because its awd, once they get to 100 mph or so the ssc apparently pulls way harder

5

well like I said ssc is a nice car but veyron is what I love it has alot of momentum hit any car out of the way...lol.. kidding but true... it is a fighter's car... hey wait a minute how much money does an ssc goes for mate?

the ssc is about 600k, witch is about 3/8s the price of the veryon....that is if you can find a veyron for msrp, some times they are nearly 3 million..

The CCX was a "one of" model that was extremely modified to beat the Veyron's top speed. That's why the Veyron still holds the title of World's Fastest Road Car. No doubt that the CCX-R is another animal all together. But we'll have to wait to see testing on that one!

5

yeah... I guess we have to wait for that one, seems like its going to be amazing

The CCX is not a one off, it is a production car. The CCXR has more power than a Veyron (CCXR: 1004bhp Veyron: 987bhp). Not only this but the CCX has a dry weight of around 1200kg vs the Veyrons 1888kg, so the CCX and CCXR both have far, far better power to weight ratio's. I also ask the topic starter to look at these two links. http://www.dragtimes.com/results.php?carmodel=1075&op1=%3E%3D&data1=&search2=et&op2=%3C%3D&data2=&days=10000000&carmake=89&name=Search+DragTimes http://www.dragtimes.com/results.php?carmodel=1349&op1=%3E%3D&data1=&search2=et&op2=%3C%3D&data2=&days=10000000&carmake=97&name=Search+DragTimes The CCR is over a second quicker on the 1/4 mile than a Veyron. Shows it puts down its power effectively off the line and then the superior aerodynamics of a Koenigsegg come into play allowing it to accelerate through to silly speeds faster than the Veyron, despite having nearly 200bhp less.

the veyron is for the sheep of this world... it seems that everyone wants one. The Koenigsegg in my opinion is a hell of a lot more attractive then the veyron. And the interior is hideous with all that cross stich bs in there really old looking and ugly im more of a race oriented look kind of person like the CCX provides.

I have to agree with Fred. If there is anything we always hear, it's Veyron Veyron Veyron. The Veyron is impressive, but frankly, I think its ugly and doesn't know what it is. I just don't see the point in having a car that goes 250 miles per hour and is a luxury car. Nobody is gonna car much about how nice the dash it when they're going over 200 miles an hour. Why are Veyron's so expensive? They're heavier than a house. What's the point? Plus, the CCX is better looking by a mile.

5

there is only a 2 to 3 mph difference between them. the ccx would be way faster on top speed if it had the same power as the veyron which is very haevy. and the ccx would be faster around a race track. and 2 last things the veyron is £400,000 more than the koenigsegg and the ccx sounds way better

5

i dont know where you get your info, but the ccx is a production model, the ccx-r is the a limited version of the ccx. the ccx-r edition is the big one that you are referring to, and there is 6 made, not one, which makes 1018hp (quoted) running ethanol, not convention fuel. but all supercars make well over their mfr's claim of horsepower so both the ccx and the veyron are likely making about 50hp over their claimed rating. more info check www.supercars.net, they do no testing themselves, but they have all the numbers, and they are reliable.

The horses on the Veyron were achieved by a 16 cylinder block and the CCX by 8 thats alot more weight for 4 mph.........yeah Veyron acceleration is faster but it did sacrifice the weight, CCX uses carbon fiber all the way down to the engine block.....The Veyron has the styling of a streamlined toyota supra and the CCX that of a raptor............CCX is an entity all in itself privately owned and all handbuilt unlike veyron which has the know how of the VW group backing and building them..........so in the end it comes to this taste yours versus mines and true you can have the worlds fastest car but in the end its still the driver who makes the machine..............................

5

I agree speed and luxury dont go hand and hand at 253 mph why would I want to feel an see anything but the road..............and they say its gonna take 3 miles to get the brickron up to top speed and it only gets like 3 mpg when its moving............in my opinion who needs all that flare when the CCX will get you there...........
