Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wifes envoy has suddenly developed a fairly severe leak of transmission fluid.  There is no fluid coming from the bell housing weep holes and most of the fluid is coming from around the drain pan. we noticed a few small drips a week or so ago and suddenly then yesterday there was a puddle I checked the fluid(motor on in neutral) and it was a quart low. the car is driven maybe 50 miles a week.

That's exactly what it was. My wife had taken the car in for a full service and tune up at the dealership 6 months ago...there is no drain plug and the only conclusion I can come up with is that the pan was not tightened properly. Every bolt took 1/4 to 1/2 turn! and the pan is not leaking any longer.
