has ne body had ne problems with clutch or gear box on polo gti on a 2000 x reg?? i took it tho the garage 2 days ago and they said it was the thrust bearing,they replaced the clutch,just went to drive it off and it statrted doing the screaming noise again,i drove straight back and they said it was the gear box?? ne info would be great thanks.

i've got a 2000 w plate and had to have the gearbox replaced last month apparently it's a common problem

Hi dose is the normal 1.4 gear box the same as the 1.4 gti gear box ?
