Also, I've been offered a set of 17" wheels off of a vectra, same stud pattern as my astra, but I think the bore size is different, is there any way I could get them to fit?

should fit, my mate had vectra vxr wheels on his mk4 astra, and another mate astra vxr wheels on a mk4 astra. pretty sure they r the same
