Vauxhall Astra Interior Light Switch!?!
Maybe I'm some kind of moron but I own a 2010 mk5
vauxhall astra 3 door and I have absolutely no idea how to
turn off the main interior courtesy light so that it doesn't
turn on when my door is opened as its often blinding at
night. I'm pretty confident that most cars have a switch
that cuts the power to the light but i can't seem to find it
anywhere! Does it not come with one? Thanks for the
help.

Is there a rear dome light? The control might be on that light like it was on my Vw. It had 3 settings. Door on and off.
Theres only 2 switches in the back, one for the left side and the other for the right, seems so stupid theres not one obviously placed on the front light
I just found a video that showed the headlight knob pulled out and to disable the interior light they pressed the knob in. Hopefully this helps.
I can push this centre button in but i can't pull it out. The only thing that happens when i push the dial in is an orange light appears around the dial but as soon as I let go it pings back out?? Still lost on this one
Does no one know the answer to this? I've been scouring the net for the answer to this but all I find are people who's light won't turn off. I find the courtesy light annoying and can't believe that my Astra H does not have the ability to turn it off, especially as all their previous models had the headlight knob feature!
My problem is different. I changed the front lights, all fine, while changing the rear the fronts turned off and never back on
GuruB5PBB i have the same problem change back seat light bulbs and now it wont come on at all

I know its late but all you got to do is where the centre interior lights are they have 3 panel casing just pull them out
The lights over the back seats have 3 position switches. With both switches in the middle position all interior lights will come on when the doors are opened. If you switch them to the off position the lights will not come when the doors are opened.
