engine management light stays on all the time car stuttering and doesnt rev right slight pause as if slight missfire also very sluggish 2001 petrol 1.8 ecotec i have changed coilpack but still the same

I have exactly the same problem on a 2003 1.8 petrol Ecotec. I've changed the coilpack and cleaned the connector. Some difference but the problem was still there. I haven't solved the problem but using hotter spark plugs (bosch Super 4) seems to mitigate the problem to the point where the car is serviceable again. If anybody has an answer to this one i would like to know about it. Thank.
