Timing

I just put a new intake gasket on a 350 tbi 5.7
and when trying to set the timing the truck
would only run if I gave it throttle if I let up on
throttle it would stumble and then die what is
that indicating

the computer may set the timing , You may be off setting the crank/cam shaft sync. by what you're doing .
