Is the 5.3 vortec as good as the 4.8

i have a 5.0 vortec and i think its amazing, power, good on gas, and fun to whip

More horse power and same gas milage as the smaller 4.8 engine, so it doesnt have to work as hard to pull the same amount of weight or extra cargo which in the long run saves on wear and tear of the engine and truck, not to mention money.

I have a 4.8 in my shorty 4x4 and it has never let me down, i have a flowmaster super 44 on it with duel outs and i've had a of of ppl ask " what the hell is under that hood?" and they dont believe me when i tell them. only problem i had was the tranny had to be replaced at 92K miles.

They are the same block same heads just a differen bore and stroke
