I am installing a 98 sierra truck motor into a 99 suburban and the computers are different will this cause problems

the computer number in the truck is 16250279 and the computer number in the suburban is 16263494 both vehicles are GMC

yes the enegines are most likely 2 different types of the engine so not all the same parts will be on the engine as the other one. tho the switch is possible but make sure you transfer the computer with the engine because it will mostly likely not run at its full capacity with out it.
there is a couple types of v6 models that you will find and depending on the year the engine will have new this or old that for computer hardware in it. the sierra comes with a couple types of v8's as well as the suburban. so as i said before just make sure you transfer the engine with the computer and you should be alright.
