my 1995, 1500 GMC SLE won't fire up.

Mine was doing the same thing. I have a 95 sierra z71. I pulled the steering column apart and moved the wires going to the ignition, now it starts. Every now and then it will do it again, so I just reach sown and jiggle the wires going to the ignition. This makes me believe that the ignition is going out or has gone out. I priced tge ignition on lmctruck.com and its not too expensive. I hope this helps with your truck
