OIL SHOOTING OUT THE DIPSTICK

Good day. I have a opel astra 1.8 cde. engine was done up recently. but while
filling oil I noticed that oil was shooting out. even though engine was not in
vehicle yet. i was still assembling. engine is now on the vehicle and oil keeps
shooting out the dipstick. i changed the dipstick tube but still the same.

Was there an o-ring or grommet around the tube when u took it apart?
