removal of back seat on a 64 ford galaxie 500 xl
already removed bottom cushion but top portion has chrome trim and built in speaker in
the center.unbolted bottom brackets however still unable to get top portion out
If you have unbolted the back cushion(there should be 2 "U" shaped bars going around a bolt and washer just below the rear cushion) the you should be able to remove it by pushing up on the cushion until it comes loose. It's probably been in there for a good 45 years so it might just be a little stuck. Don't try to pull on the cushion, it has to slide up and out then you can unplug the center speaker wiring from the seat Good Luck, Kenny/ MrBlueOval
