will a 1966 galaxie gas tank fit a 1965

I believe the answer is yes, with one proviso: The wagons used a completely different tank than the convertibles, 2 door and 4 door cars. 65 through 68, both full sized Ford and Mercury cars were all the same basic car with cosmetic freshening each year.

The 66 tank will fit but hang approx. 3 inches lower than the 65. New longer gas straps will have to be fabricated.
