Where on the chassis can the vin no be found on my 1970 Ford Galaxie L.T.D coupe ?
Its not behind the windshield on the dash on the drivers side? Otherwise check the title. It would be on there.
thanks Mark , If it was , its been covered by new dash upholstery which cant be removed.
The only title i have is its "special interest vehicle" club reg and when ringing VIC ROADS they have nothing to tell me saying that its not been registered.
Look on the fire wall on the drivers side for a metal plate. They use to put them there also.
And I'm sure you could pull back the upholstery without hurting it.
It should be a 13 digit number.
If the car still has the original interior, try popping the rear seat out and looking in the webbing for the build sheet, you'll have to combine the serial number and model number to get the full VIN.
