Put new carb on my 69 galaxie now car dies as
soon as I hit the gas starts fine but as soon as I
give it gas it dies have it at a shop in town they
can't get it right  should I put a 4 barrel adapter on
how dose that work thanks

How did you get a 4 barrel on a 2 barrel intake. What you need is a 4 barrel intake not a adaptor.

The old Autolite 2 barrel carbs are one of the simplest and best carbs ever made. Get someone else to help you with it. You may have an issue other than the carb. Accelerator pump or choke issue may be the problem if it is carb related.

Yes the adapter is just a cheap substitute The proper manifold will increase your hp dramaticaly
