Austin Healey Sprite

Asked by imracefan24 Jun 20, 2018 at 03:59 PM about the Austin-Healey Sprite

Question type: General

I have found an Austin Healy Sprite in a pole barn. No title from previous Owners.  Looking to sell, but need to apply for title in Indiana.  How do I.D. this thing for model/type?  I sent pix to bugeye.com who are confident it's Sprite.  No idea of year.
I.D. plate above radiator and on side of engine are readable.
Thanx to any and all who provide advise!!

That is a sprite, Cant' tell the year from the photo but it is pre 1975 when they went to the rubber bumpers.

Yes, it has to be pre 1975 They stopped making them in 1970 when British Leyland cut ties with Healey.... last ones to the US were 1969.. from 1971 on it was just the Midget... If it does not have outside door handles, or roll up windows it is a 1961-1964 Mark II If it has roll down windows, it's either a 1964- 1966 Mark III with a 1098cc engine, or a 1966-1969 Mark IV with a 1275cc engine - 1966-67 has an all metal dash.. 1968-1969 has the padded pillow dash, 1969 has side marker lights..
