it might be the cable from the throttle to the housing worn the kickdown cable is what we call it in the uk
Dear John sorry for not mentioning regarding the pump, this is a electronic injector pump, the exelerator is controlled by a small switch which is fitted on top of the injector pump body as a sensor boost execration please help, rgds
it could be the sensor creating a false reading to the ecu regarding the air fuel mix required for acceleration causing the lambada sensor in the exhust to work overtime to try and compensate restricting the flow of fuel through the pump would recomend you check the sensor and check the emmisions if they are on the high side it could point to a new cat and lambada sensor also would get the ecu remapped as the chip can swapped out for better acceleration and top end and doesnt cost to much im still on a 92 plate 1 but had the chip done for fuel efficiany and now acheive 42 to the gallen round town
Dear John I am still having the same problem as mentioned in the begining,i cannot located the lambada sensor please advise and few other sensors which could be giving the problem.thanks
lambada sensor is just before the cat which i think is fitted to your model and the other sensor is mounted just after the airflow meter on the intake manifold just before or after the butterflys would clean the butterflys on the intake manifold with a non abrasive cleaner as well as the sensors lambada sensors can take a wire wooling to clean them but be carefull when you do have you had the ecu checked ? as some models have the electronic kick down feature depending on which model you own
if its cutting out try a new fuel filter and and have a look at the injectors a basic tune up might help out also!
i had this problem last-night and was very confused, i dont kno much about cars but eventually i decided to push down on the second shifter and then push all the way forward and i cud then take off in drive properly, hope this helps!
