you know your solution is met with a bit of trepidation, and was a mere guess as I've dealt with these types of things before, and I know how lousy those butyl-rubber hoses that everyone uses are...they put so much importance on five cents worth of rubber tree....we've evolved, but the hoses that they use, yes ALL the automakers use, are sub- par...hope your local shop has silicone...BMW doesn't mess around and uses them at the outset. Thank you for your recognition....don't get no respect for the most part because my experience is from 1993- 96, every day is an opportunity to learn how they are doin' it these days, for example I was surprised to find NO accelerator cable...anymore. NO DISTRIBUTOR any more...feel like a fossil-
They did away with the rumble seat too, old timer....
