Heater won't work

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 93 deville. Bought it and the heater doesn't
work. The previous owner has a switch from the
relay under hood to inside. It works but only on full
blast. Hhow do I fix the original problem? What do I
need under the hood..

First you would want to wire it back the way it was originally. Then I suspect the blower motor resistor when bad and needs replacing. I suspect the last owner wired it like this as the blower motor resistor cost over $100.
There are two wire harnesses square and one red and one yellow. And they are female. That's where the owner put the wire for homemade switch. Is the male end of these missing? They should go somewhere?? I'm not a mechanic. Trying to get the car back to original and heater to work from inside.. Thanks..
If you are to give this a shot, why don't you pick up a blower motor resistor so you know what it looks like. The male ends are on that and it will only take the correct plugin so you know what is what. It is expensive for that car (the resistor) so keep the receipt.
Ok I have installed the resistor new. Still no heat. Wondering if there is a fuse for this or ac programmer bad or blower motor. It's really cold and I need a defroster.
My cadilac devill i can feel the heat but the fan is not blowing it out those it mean that the fan is no good if is not whats the problem
Is there a way to test the resistor
