If you can drive it long enough to use up the old gas, fill it up with Chevron gas and also add a bottle of Techron. Drive it for a while and hopefully your problems will clear up.

Five months of storage is not that long. A full tank of gas will not go bad that quickly. That year Caddy had the 4.5 liter V8. The idle motors on those cars were notorious for failing. Either causing extremely high idle, idle low enough to stall. or a combination of both. Those cars still had a traditional cap and rotor ignition setup. Five months of damp storage can easily corrode the contacts. If the car runs well while driving but has a rough idle when sitting still in gear. Check the ignition system. If the car seems to run fine but just dies at idle especially in gear check the idle control motor.
