05 deville cranking but not turning over

Cranking IS turning over. You mean it cranks but does not start. NinjaXxChicken is right. Start with determining if you have spark.
I actually ran the codes, saw P0300 & P206, but then tested the fuel line and there wasn't any spewing out. Fuel pump, or pump sensor, code was popping up and it turns out that was what was faulty. So the car was revving but not starting bcuz of no fuel traveling. Should have figured that out when acceleration was being delayed, then kicking in!
It could be numerous things. ..get those scan codes from simple to severe...99 and up cars are very sophisticated delicate cars...be careful
Ok...you might have a problem in fuel rails or injection..remember a code may not always be exact problem but it will be pretty close to target...did you read codes with exterior reader or the onboard scanner in the car?
I have found that I can get 2 different readings with each scanner. ...unless I use a bluedriver which is my fave....its beyond the other exterior scanners and the onboard scanner...I love it
Yea. My mechanic used 2 different hand scanners. One that explains the codes, the other just reads out several codes(more adaptable). Gave us like 7 codes and we took them to a pro mechanic at Oreilly's and printed up all descriptions. My account of previous car problems, plus the fact that the car turned right over with starter fluid, pointed right to the fuel pump.
Huge mileage....may have jumped time...don't start it too much...its a interference engine
You look up your codes on internet with make model year and it will tell you what codes are for
