I purchased a 73 ventura with what looks to be a 350 pontiac motor and 4 speed. Does anybody know if venturas came std. with pntiac motors and what 4 speed transmission this could be?

Yes, the base engine was a Pontiac 350. Does the car have an automatic or manual trans? If it is automatic, I would assume it is the 3-speed turbo- hydromatic 350. (TH-350).

it is standard, a 350 pontiac motor,they used chevy engines in 75. most likely a muncie m21 trans, you're gonna have to get the numbers off the side of the tranny to be sure what it is. could also be a sagnaw tranny. if you can get a picture of it i'll tell you what it is.
