just the windows on the drivers side will not operate what could that be on a 97 sts

its one of two things. Its either the power window motor but it's unlikely that it went out on both the driver and rear driver side windows. Check your fuses to make sure that the fuses haven't blown. Your owners manual will tell you which fuses control each window.

IT'S ONLY THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW IS NOT OPERABLE. IF THE WINDOWS IS UP BUT WHEN I START DRIVER IT SLOWLY START COMING DOWN. I HAVE BEEN GETTING SOMEONE TO RAISE IT USING THEIR HANDS, NEVERTHELESS IF I START DRIVING, IT WILL SLOWLY COME DOWN AGAIN
