Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car dies every once in a blue moon and i need to know why.  i have replaced every belt , everyu hose, my alternaor, and battery. mehcanically the car is great. electrically.....not so much :(    just need to know what the problem could be?

at times it will die, get jumped off and be fine. other times it wonrt jump off period- then when you charge the battery its fine again. then it will die again randomly.

couple quick questions - What year and engine what battery and alt. did you use. new or recon and have they been tested also have fault codes been checked. this sounds like either a dodgy alt killing your battery or a possible crank angle sensor issue more info would help a more precise diag.

it is a rebuilt alternator but it was tested and its great. mine as well be brand new. as for the battery. its brand new as well. i had codes pulled a few years ago but it wasnt for the same problem now. you mentioned codes?

Crank and or cam sensors would be your next likely avenue of investigation. Also if it is an older model with an exposed tone wheel on the front of the engine these can also fail with time. these can give a sportic stalling issue.
