My 1999 BMW doors lock and the moon roof open on its own when the car is parked and not running.What could be the problem?

There are many things that could cause this issue. Such as a key lock on one of the doors sticking. The other issue that is more likely the issue in your body module activating the locks and moon roof. Hope this helps and good luck with your diag.

The contacts in the drivers door lock cylinder are faulty. Replace the door lock cylinder and micro switches.

The only place where a request for all doors and sunroof to be opened is the drivers lock cylinder and key remote. The drivers lock cylinder is worn and contacting the micro switch causing this. If you carefully unlock the door with the key (in the lock cylinder) and center the cylinder you will see tat the problem does not occur. Secondly the key remote could only make this request when it was in range of the car. You should clear the central locking/body codes after making te repair.
