how to reset convertible top for 1996 328i?

What exactly are you trying to do. What type of failure did you experience that you are working to correct. What have you done so far and in what position is the top at this time. Is this a fully automatic top, is it a semi automatic top (handle in the center of the of the top you unlatch and push the top up 6-8 inches) or a manuel top.

The convertible was locked while opening and I had to put the top down using manually process, now I need to reset so I can semi automatic top again.
