what steps to take to enter code for the radio

I did that one time long ago cant remember,,, went to just ask, cost me a few bucks and a tech answered real quick,,i may have had to pull the unit from dash for numbers , whatever just more gadgetry garbage they screw over everyone with to bring cash to bmw dealer shop and it will get worse before ever better, or you can sit up all night with google [bmw radio codes] you may get lucky
