I'm shopping for a used Range Rover best suited for towing a 5600 lb. boat/trailer. I
assume that I need the biggest engine Range Rover makes. Has anyone had any
relevant Range Rover towing experience?
Hi, even my 1984 Range Rover has no problems towing four wheeled trailers with brakes up to 7000lb and it has the old 3.5 litre carburettor engine, so I don't see any problem with what you plan on doing with any model really. I use my 1991 Classic to pul a trailer loaded with either a 1600 lbs Lotus, a 2100 lbs Porsche 914 of a 3500 lbs Jaguar xk150 OTS. The trailer weighs in at 1800 lbs. It's better on your brakes if you have brakes on the trailer. I have the 3.9 L Automatic transmission. Works great
