i am having a honda city exi,the orange light with the engine sign seems to be on while driving,pls?

i am having a second hand honda city exi, today i noticed the orange light with the engine sign is appearing or is on while driving, please let me know whats the problem and is there any problem with the engine??? since i hve brought this quite recently.

Its the "check engine" light...it can come on for a lot of reasons! if you did not notice nothing wrong with the car, its nothing too serious but it would be better to get it check by your local garage...
