Aircon Whooshing sound, new car
I have a brand new Honda City. The air con makes a whooshing sound from the
passenger side vent which lasts only a second or two but occurs every minute or so
after the car is driven a few miles. I brought it back to the dealer and they said the
sound was normal. I believed them, drove the car on a road trip and heard the noise
so many times that I decided it could not be normal. I brought it to the dealer again.
They took it for a drive and again said it was normal. I asked if they could take me for
a ride in another vehicle to hear the noise. The other vehicle didn't make a sound.
They looked at the car or a few hours and said there had been an air bubble in a line or
something. I drove away and after a few minutes the noise occurred again. Anyone
have an idea as to the cause of the noise? I have driven other Hondas and none make
the sound.

Ummm..Ronc258. not everyone is Christian, dude...Also, not everyone on this site is from the USA...there are many foreigners on here. So, yes..there will be people who worship other religions, including Hinduism....Just sayin'
Hey racer i am not slaming him I am not christian in any way was just wondering what the pic was about and I know that not every one here is not from the USA. Looked to me like a pic of him with a poster over his head thats why I asked
Ok Ron...no problem...When I saw that this guy is driving a Honda City (whatever that is)...I knew he wasn't from the USA, since they don't sell that here. Just didn't want the OP getting on your case....trying to look out for ya...that's all. :)
The picture is of a Buddha statue. I'm not religious, just like Buddha. I live in Thailand. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding the question I posted?

Wayne did you take a look at the RECIRC/FRESH to make sure it seals up on recirc so the doors do not close easily as a testement to the air-bound nature of the passenger compartment or is it always "FRESH"~?
migration_judge_roy answered 11 years ago
what I'm thinking is the actuator for the air/door has fallen off or motion is obstructed....if you can never get to "recirc" such that is air-bound and NO fresh air enters the passenger compartment this must be the case....see what's holding up the show with a small mirror~

change the cabin filter...perhaps has come apart into pieces for lack of build quality~
migration_judge_roy answered 11 years ago
okay here are some cabin filters that may fit....could pinpoint if I knew what year your vehicle is and find a shipper to thailand~

Guess none of that helped....a malfunction with the air door is the cause~ NO reputation points needed...don't worry even if totally correct will have the knowledge that I'm correct and no further encouragement is needed...still a "mark helpful" or "Best answer" would do wonders for beefin' me up to the top~!
The car has been taken back to the dealer and they are checking it again.
Still makes the noise. The recirc refresh seems to work though i haven't used a mirror to inspect it. 3 years now, air still blows cold, still sounds like there is a hissing snake in the passenger side vent. We play music so as not to hear it.
Sama as my brand new car city 2018. Already highlighted to then and the answer is ‘its normal’. I really cant stand with this sound. Really annoy me. Any solution guys? Izit really normal for city?
