No, on newer model vehicles the air bag system uses an occupant classification system to determine if there is a passenger in the passenger seat and will make logic decisions about air bag activation based on that information. Why would you want to disable the passenger air bag?

For those people who have had open heart surgery or other surgery so they can ride in the front seat.
