I just now discovered Judge Roy posted the same picture. hours ago...was it of no help?

it was but the timing belt cover has been removed and reveals a plastic piece behind the crank pulley itself,so I'm wondering do you have to remove the crank pulley in order to remove the plastic piece that is hidind the sensor, seems the only way, just wondering if anyone would know for sure.

No, I found instructions but didn't seem quite right to me so I took it off, however it made no mention having to take the pulley off

Now I know why those instructions struck me as not right, went back to look and it was for a Optima not a Sedona. Can't seem to find it for Sedona.

OK Finally...at http://www.fixya.com/cars/t4248608-replace_crank_position_sensor_2003_kia .....the guy says the pulley has to come off.
