Just bought a 68 c10 with a 350 in it, it's carbureted, and I want to make it have more power, like a better carb, intake, cam? Please name any and all upgrades that go well together please!!

Polish the heads, put aluminum heads on it
chevyboy there has an excellent suggestion. Also if it has a 2bl, get an Edelbrock or a good intake manifold like that, and put a 600 or so cfm 4bbl on that. Problem there is inspections, if you live in Calif. don't... you will never pass, it's "tampered"
if its the original 350 it is a great start as they had some great power out of the box. However chances are the engine is worn out, and the most power there is to gain is lost power from compression loss. Also the heads will have needed hardened valve seats due to them (if original) being made to run leaded fuel. After that a good edelbrok 4bbl carb and intake. You could slap a better cam in there too, the is room to improve and still not have an extreamly lopey cam.
Andrew makes a good point about the 1968's and leaded gas. The lead was there to soften the blow of valves slamming shut.

This is a totally rebuilt motor, it's got what people call the shitty carb.
so, edelbrok 650 with an edelbrok intake will make a decent improvement. The quadrajet isn't the best carb in the world

Thats what I wa told. What about a cam? Like what kind/ bran name cam? Specifics on that would help too. And where could I get a goo set of aluminum heads? Brand name and specifics too?
your heads are actually pretty good if they are the 68 heads. Just have them worked (ported and polished with bigger valves).
