My shifter will not shift out of park. Can I disengage an interlock on the shifter to drive the automobile to a repair shop?

i have herd a lot of people having this problem,dont hold me to this but i think the interlock is in the trans.i do know my parents neighbor bought a c300 and sure same thing happened,i know they had theirs towed to dealer traded for a ram desieal truck befor car was unhoked from towtruck,must be nice to have money like that.

Remove the coin holder next to th shifter there is an opening with a button inside press the Brake push the button and move the shifter at the same time And get your brake switch replaced it worked for me. 2007 300
