What's the cause of a Rev increase ?

Hi, I have a Ford Bantam 1.3i rocam 2008 model.
Start the engine, it runs well after a couple of
minutes the Rev count goes up to 2000rmp, what
may be the cause of this and what can be done to
solve the problem?

Check for fault codes in the engine management system. Check for air leaks in the air intake system. If there are fault codes, clear the fault codes. Check the engine coolant temp sensor and wiring.
