Check for fuel and spark. Put your eye up to the gas tank and have someone turn the key on. You need someone else to turn the key on as some vehicles turn the pump on for a few seconds and then turn the pump off until it gets an rpm signal. If you hear the pump turn on then get a cheap spark tester and see if you have spark. When you have a no start always narrow it down to what is not happening Spark or fuel.
Hi Jimmy, Is your Bantam not cranking and not starting ? Does the Immobilizer warning light come on at all or does the warning light stay on with the ignition ON ? When the ignition is switched ON, does this Immobilizer light Flash quickly ? Check the fuses and relays. Check the battery Pos. Cable and Neg cables . are they clean and secured. When you switch the ignition to the ON position the Light next to the clock (Immobilizer Warning light) comes ON and then goes OFF. This shows that the system is OK If the Light flashed quickly and then switches OFF and starts flashing a "1" or a "2" and switches OFF and the starts to flash um a "1" to "6" , or say 1 3 or 86
Hi Jimmy, what year model is your Bantam ? It could be a computer box problem. Check the wiring harness that runs from the Left rear of the engine compartment. It runs through a large rubber plug and into the Passenger compartment. Its a possibility that water has gone down the harness into the computer box. We repair these unit and we are based in Pretoria East. Phone or Whatsapp me on : 0820606425.
