He should have replaced the thermostat along with the new pump. 99% of the time it's the thermostat that's bad. Replace the thermostat. If vehicle still over heats with new pump and thermostat, buy an air bleed kit from auto store. You may now have an air pocket in the system.
Disconnect those two water pipe that enter the cab and join those wich are from the engine together to return water to engine.
DisconnecThe those water pipe from the cockpit and join those from engine to return water to engine.
Why would you want to eliminate the heater core Matlopela? The thermostat is the likely cause of this problem as Reelin68 says.
hi im craig ....wenever a ford rockam engine starts to overheart again and again after new gaskerts and new water pump....jus check on the 2 smaller pipes (return pipes)one from the thermo-housing to the expansion bottle one from the radiator on the drivers side ;that goes back to expansion bottle try squeezin the length of the whole pipe theres a lumpy feel inside the pipes ..with a plier try squeezin out both nipples from the pipes.....problem solved.........they resstrict the flow of water and somewere along the life of the cooling system those nipples get clogged with rusty particles...
