Hi all my 2004 1.8 diesel bantams rev counter wont work any ideas?

Found out if you have a big short electrically the needle can swing all the way round and end up under the stopper. Some say just remove the clocks and swing it around manually

Perform a cluster check. Ignition off, Cluster trip button in and hold it there, Switch the ignition to ON and hold the button in until the ODO display shows TEST. Release the trrip button and press again. The Speedo will go to full sweep. Press the button again and the RPM will also go to full sweep. If this is working check the main cluster wire from the PCM to the cluster. Check also the crank angle sensor plug by the flywheel. and check this harness
