Located on the left side 'A' pillar under the dash. Remove the plastic cover. The 2009 Computer Box is clipped into position. To remove the cover , which is part of the door sill cover, remove the three clips and then thee cover under the dash panel. Once you have nu-clipped the PCM, then remove the wiring harness plug
Rocam 1.6 and 1.3 do they use same computer box ? What else must i change when i convert to 1.6?
These two computer boxes are different. One is programmed for the 1300 and the other is programmed for the 1600. Different software. They are interchangable. The part numbers are different. The 1300 can be changed to a 1600. The change should be dome by a professional.
Removal of the Bantam computer box is not the same as the video. It is riveted to the chassis .This is one difficult baby to remove. There is simply no easy way other than cutting thru the Glove compartment to get the rivets loose with a small drilling machine. Still have to remove mine in this manner. Will keep you all updated.
The rivets are only at the bottom of the PCM. Drill these two rivets out. You dont have to remove the dash. The PCM is mounted on the 'A' Pillar. I have done them.
Cranks, but does not start. The starter solenoid wire is running in the same channel as the crank angle sensor. When the starter solenoid is energized this induces a higher voltage into the crank angle sensor wiring. Move this solenoid wire out of the crank angle sensor wiring channel. Check the condition of the main starter cable from the battery to the starter. Clean the terminals and the amperage draw on this cable. Check the earth cable from the battery negative to the body and fit an extra earth cable from the battery Neg terminal to the gearbox. Check also the Camshaft Position Sensor and the wiring. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9lcijU_9oM&t=23s
