Need help with a power window that does not work?

Asked by H2Oville Mar 05, 2013 at 04:18 PM about the Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2009 Town and Country that has the 2 row power window will not work.
Everything else is working fine. They first told me it was a bad motor, now they are telling me it is the control module. Trying to get to the bottom of it.

to get to the bottom of it you will need to take it apart and see if you have power and ground at the motor with the switch pressed. if you do not have power and ground you will need to check the wiring and or other componets to see why. if it does have power and ground at the motor then you have a bad motor.

come to think of it i have seen some issues with the wiring harnesses on the sliding door tracks. if the harness is not sitting correctly it can easily catch on the track and damage wiring. ive seen it more than once. you said "THEY" told you it was a motor now a module. who are they? and have they replaced any parts yet?

I actually got my driver side rear wing window to start to work again by resetting the console control panel. Go figure ...

Thanks to Enki's advice I was able to activate my 2002 T&C driver side window which was stuck in up position. Reset the "miles to maintenance" number from 5000 to 6000. As Enki said, "Go figure ... !"
