Nadaguides.com shows: Low Retail Average High $1,775 $3,200 $4,400* Personally, I wouldn't go past $2000... there are some good thing about the '87... decent fuel injection, decent economy...3rd brake light...good suspension. Weak areas are the exhaust (twin mufflers) and OEM wheels. Plenty of parts out there for modifications, though...some really sweet MKII Jettas are rolling around SoCal.
