I have a 2002 Jetta that wont start

I have a 2002 Jetta while driving today I could here a noise in the motor sounded like a belt
slapping when I stopped to check I turned it off and all the warning lights came on ,now it
will turn over but will not start,belt is good ,has spark. Can anyone help solve this

Try jumping it. If your battery is slightly bulged on the sides, it is no good. Start with this.
Which engine do you have in this car? Also go to your car open the hood and look at the front where the belt is. there should be plastic covers behind the serpentine belt... remove one and check for the timing belt.. i have a sneaky suspicion it broke and you now have a expensive paper weight.
