04 bmw x5 battery/altenator

I changed my altenator out and after 2
weeks my battery is draining but my
altenator is passing test...did i need to reset
the computer after i replaced the altenator?

Is your battery not charging or draining overnight? what is voltage on battery while engine running? Do you have a parasitic drain?

Bad battery due to faulty old alternator? Dead cell? Did you get a bad new alternator?

Are all connections tight and on clean metal connections? Did you disconnect negative post on battery before replacing alternator? Did you short something out by not disconnecting the battery?

Have you checked ground connections and resistance on these wires due to age of vehicle? YouTube has many videos of how to do this. ChrisFix author is a good one

The bmws are computer over design nightmares, no dip stick- what the? Any electrical replacement I would bet needs a computer check.
