PLESE HELP!I have a 2003 Mercedes c240 and it wont crank! The engine turns over but it wont actually crank/start! Battery goes dead after a few tries. Single mom and no car=no job!! Any thoughts?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car just stopped working over night! I never had any trouble starting it
before now! I thought it was out of gas and put half a tank in there but thats
not it. The last time it ran out of gas it took forever to get it cranked, but it did
after a few hours-ITS BEEN A WEEK! Please give me any thoughts you
have on what the problem is. I cannot blindly throw money into it. And being
a single mom of 3, this is my worst nightmare. I don't want to get ripped off
by a foreign car mechanic and it be something I could do. I've fixed cars
before, just not a German one! Thank you!

When was the last time you did a tune up? You need to have battery fully charged and try spraying some quick start in throttle body to find out if it's fuel related and go from there

And yes, being fuel injected, still have throttle bodies to regulate the air coming in to the fuel mixture

It's a 2003. It sounds like the fuel pump is raising up and it has a humming sound when you turn the ignition.....it just wont crank! I will try what you said about the throttle body. Thank you so much for responding!
