The air conditioner blows air but it is not cool. A friend said that the fluid leaked out. Is there a way of repiring this without putting in a new unit (Mazda is 1992)

It's funny how many AC questions come up when the weather gets hot. If your refridgerant level is low then you have a leak. It will need to be taken to a shop and have them recharge it with dye to find the leaks. The compressor needs checked to to see if it's just not coming on. I am unfamiliar with when imports started useing r-134a. Some older cars use r-12 which you cannot buy unless lisenced to do so. If it uses r-134a then you can try to recharge it yourself by buying it from the parts store.
